After a recent hip replacement, I connected with Dr. Melinda Hurt at Hurt & Co in Scarborough for Physical Therapy. I had previous experience with Melinda following 2 back surgeries. With a PhD and 14 years’ experience in Physical Therapy, she moved her practice to a new facility offering Physical Therapy, Massage Therapy, and a large Gym. I came to Hurt & Co with chronic pain in my shoulders and back, that were impacting my daily life. Melinda took the time to discuss my concerns and symptoms. She helped relieve my pain using dry needling with stim, manual therapy and stretching. I went to Hurt and Co after my referral for physical therapy from my Dr went to 2 other locations that couldn’t get me an appt for over 2 weeks. I hurt my leg running, and waiting even more time to even start therapy wasn’t a helpful plan. I got an appt at Hurt and Co the same week I inquired. Scheduling was easy, all online, and entering my health info was also very easy and sent to my email after they confirmed my appt. Dr Hurt has treated shoulder pain, muscle tears in my forearm, and an abdominal muscle injury with great success so she was the obvious choice of a PT for both pre hab and rehab post surgery for a ruptured ACL earlier this year. My surgeon has been impressed with my rapid recovery, regaining strength and mobility faster than is typical after my type of procedure.
