Terrible lawn mix. Looked good when it was laid but once we finished spreading it with the lever this is what we pull out of it, quarter of a bin full of crap - rocks, sticks, broken glass.
I love love love their moisture mulch! The contents of green bins ( occasional plastic), but the results are incredible as the various sized particles are essential for soil microbes and have changed my clay into lovely soil! Forget bark! This is magic, not to mention the amazing experience and knowledge of staff
I’ve been buying “Moisture Mulch”from Louis for well over 20 years and it’s helped transform our dry, heavy clay Panton Hill soil. It’s the only mulch I now use particularly because it’s recycling council waste and highly beneficial to the soil profile. Over time it breaks down to a fine black compost. It’s heat treated to ensure no weed growth and I highly recommend it.
Don’t buy the moisture mulch. Hurstbridge Garden Supplies will tell you that - ‘Moisture Mulch comes from recycled green waste that gets heat treated , aged , blended and composted making it one of the most popular products with professional landscapers’ however, they won’t tell you that it will also contain ‘impurities’ which consists of plastic, metal and recycled wood waste.
