I have had two stat requests two weeks in a row on a Saturday. Last week they completed the lab before they left but failed to notify my doctor. I went as soon as they opened today, wrote the request to call doctor before noon on the order and verbally requested they call my doctor before noon. They again failed to notify my doctor today. Doctor's office called them a few minutes before noon and there was no answer. They are stat requests for a reason.
