I've been going to Huntington as a student for a few months now for math aid and so far it has been helpful in visible improvements with my grade, and results in general. However, as a student attending, one of my main issues is the environment. This is not at all the fault of the teachers, all of them are wonderful, but the near silent environment is hard because it's easy to get drowsy, especially during longer sessions. I noted gaps in my child’s learning when she returned to school post COVID pandemic. I also observed how hard it was for her to go to school and learn. Before the pandemic she was very bright, enthusiastic about her learning and was considered to be ahead of her grade when in reading, writing and mathematics. Five months ago, our daughter was struggling with reading after we had to pull her out of a Spanish immersion program and place her in a traditional classroom. Suzie, the Director at Huntington Learning Center, was incredibly understanding and communicative. She worked closely with us to curate a program tailored specifically to our daughter’s needs. My daughter worked with an amazing tutor (Lee) for several months on math, verbal, and writing skills. She had a wonderful experience and learned so much. Murli, the Shoreline center's director, is great and very easy to work with. I highly recommend Huntington for academic support and test prep!
