My son went there for help with his addiction and ended up traumatized and worse than he was prior to going. There is a female staff member working there who allowed my son to smoke cigarettes that she provided, outside and she would pretend to not see anything. His councilor told me we would get to do family councilling sessions via zoom and that didnt happen. His 3 phone call per week were more like 1 rushed phone call. The staff there truly cares about everyone who walks through the door. Countless rehabs have sent me home with only a weeks worth of medication for my mental health. This lead to relapses and self medicating. I let the staff at Huntington know my issue and they took it seriously. My counselor James understood my needs and sent me home with refills for my prescriptions allowing me time to find a primary care/ psychiatrist. I stayed here and I had a rough time, but only due to the fact I was homesick and anxious. The staff there got me through one of the worst times i’ve endured due to my withdrawal and they gave me meds that helped me so much. Mr brian, Mr. Gary, Mrs Michelle, and Mr brandon are amazing. First let me assert the heart of a treatment center is the tech's and their relationship with the clients. They are amazing here! Personally involved and they actually care about the success of the client. From my experience, particularly Gary and John M. My counselor James was also extremely helpful in assuring my outside matters were addressed. (I was a needy client). That is as far as it went though. This is a beautiful area. Couldn’t have went to a better place for my recovery! They were absolutely amazing not to mention how well you’re fed during your stay as well lol. Every single tech works there because it’s their passion not for a paycheck. && it shows in everything they do for you.. blessed to have met all of them. If you actually want to live a sober life I suggest you start here !
