Worthless? Yes, that’s the way to describe customer service. My check card is randomly not working, zero answers as to why, leaving me stranded at a gas station at the mercy of strangers. Strangers plus a truck driver who offered to fill my tank in exchange for sex. Upon hearing this the teller feigned empathy, not convincingly but there was minimal effort. TL;DR: DO NOT BANK WITH HUNTINGTON. My husband and I opened a joint account with this bank on February 2nd. That same day, we deposited a $6,500 insurance check that was made out to me, my husband, and our mortgage company. The bank accepted the deposit without issue but informed us the funds would require approval from the mortgage company before they could be released. I don't like how they have remodled the banks. The way its designed you have this giant lobby with no seating and a very tiny off the side area for banking. Hardly any counter space.
I’m closing my accounts here because they’ve made too many mistakes when it comes to handling customers money. From placing money in wrong accounts and mis counting money. Gives you an uneasy feeling. I should be able to trust where I’m banking and putting my money at.
