My mother was moved here after fracturing her pelvis from the Mater hospital in Newcastle. The care she received was really below par. She had to call me in Sydney to contact the nursing staff after having her buzzer pressed for 45mins without response on more than one occasion. The staff were lovely but there weren't enough of them. The doctor that I spoke to did not have any records passed on by the Mater and hadn't bothered to chase them either until I wanted my mother transferred to Sydney.
