Rented from HPM for a while now and never had any issues with property manager. Seems like maybe these poor reviews are from people who were evicted for non-payment or because they live like animals. People have lives-as well as the repair man and the property manager so they can not be available 24/7. They have multiple homes too--not just the one you live in! Great if you are the renter I listed a home for rent through Hunter Property Management in 1999- in the end the tenant severly damaged the property, defaulted on the rent,(paid 3 months rent total) Mr. Hunter let tenant continue to live in property free until I insisted eviction take place. This is March 2006 and I still have an outstanding balance owed to me for damages and rental on this property of $10,529.72, the rent he filed for in small claims court, ($5965.00) won the judgement , but has never used "due diligence" as... read more
Rental management company Very small family owned business. I rented from him for three years. He is rather slow at getting repairs done, but he is a GREAT landlord. He was considerate when there were problems and helpful. And VERY NICE!! Cheap rental prices too.
Rented an apartment I rented a small apartment from this firm. The apartment was in good repair and was clean. When I had a problem that needed to be taken care of it took a long time but was addresses. The rent charged was fair. I didn't like renting so I ended up buying my own place. I never had any problems with the service other then it taking awhile before the work was done.
No Follow up Was looking at getting a property manager some time back. Came and looked at home gave a management price (lowest compared to everyone else) but no response to phone calls afterward. Gave up and chose someone else!!
Doesn't like to repair anything. You pay rent and don't ask for repairs is his attitude . If you do he will up the rent or tell you he can find someone else to live there.
I have had a pole light out in front of my property for over 6 months now. A Hunter is very unresponsive to phone calls or emails and cannot get a straight answer out of them. Very poor company and hard to deal with
Do not do needed repairs on rental property. Months go by and nothing is done. Repair man lies and says he tried to contact renter, or says time was set up but renter not home. Repair man is rude and vulgar. Owner of company does nothing to rectify situation. Wont even remove broken washing machine, tenants are to remove it from house basement. Many other problems, just listed a few. Do not rent from them or use this company.
