First Appointment Hunter Children’s Clinic initially booked my child in for a Zoom appointment (expensive) for a physical issue that requires an objective examination, which is impossible to do via zoom. I needed to rebook as a physical examination. Reschedule 1 There is a clash with my son’s school exams, a give more than a week’s notice. Never in my life have I dealt with a more unprofessional organisation than the Hunter Children's Clinic. From the moment I called the clinic on the 17th of Nomember and spoke with Mel, I was continually cut off and talked over at almost every chance I spoke with her, but still managed to make an appointment on the back of my son's psychology review. Very disappointing that my previous review has been removed. My experience at Hunter Children's Clinic was very negative. I did not feel heard at all and I left (distressed and in tears) after being told by Dr Mansour that my daughter 'very likely has ADHD' but that she was "bound by the paperwork". We then ended up in John Hunter with my daughter after progressively worsening and distressing behaviours. We have been so satisfied with Dr Kristin Mansour. She has listened, understood what our wishes for our children are and advised us on how we can have the best outcome with the goals we have. Our wait times we're as long as other centres.
