Very disappointing that my previous review has been removed. My experience at Hunter Children's Clinic was very negative. I did not feel heard at all and I left (distressed and in tears) after being told by Dr Mansour that my daughter 'very likely has ADHD' but that she was "bound by the paperwork". We then ended up in John Hunter with my daughter after progressively worsening and distressing behaviours. We have been so satisfied with Dr Kristin Mansour. She has listened, understood what our wishes for our children are and advised us on how we can have the best outcome with the goals we have. Our wait times we're as long as other centres.
Dr Quill has been amazing. She sees both of my boys and leaves no box unticked. She takes her time. We have never felt rushed. She is absolutely lovely and we are so happy we found her!
As a mother of a daughter with severe behavioural problems (likely ADHD) I could not be any more disappointed in the service we received from this clinic. It felt like a 'tick the box' process and I did not feel heard at all. Over $800 later, no outcome or diagnosis for my daughter. I am now consulting with an excellent psychologist who understands girls present differently to boys but now in the position of having to find a new paediatrician and starting a new lengthy waitlist. Extremely unsatisfied with this clinic.
Dr Parry is lovely to deal with. Always makes time to connect with my child asking about how he has been and being curious about any challenges he may be facing. We have always left feeling like we have been heard, validated and fully informed so we can make good decisions moving forward. I also feel like I can contact the clinic at any time if we are are experiencing difficulties or need intervention.
