I have had so many take out orders from this restaurant that I feel that my family half owns it. We love everything, especially the Empress Beef and Crab Rangoon. Please try it.
I have a horrible alergy to water chestnuts but love Chinese food. When I ordered my Chicken with Garlic Sauce I specifically said "NO WATER CHESTNUTS." Apparently the language barrier came across only water chestnuts. I know that it is a poor economy but do resturaunts have the right to rip off their customer by giving them filler instead of what they order. Horrible Service – Cheap chinese is just that....cheap, good food. At Hunan Empress, while the food is good, the service is horrible. Our order was incorrect. Mind you, the item in question cost a whopping $7.95. Instead of swapping out the dish for the correct item, the owner argued with me so much I lost my entire appetite. With the cost of living soaring so high, dining out for our family is a treat. We will not be giving our business to a restaurant who doesn't pride themselves on customer satisfaction. I like this restaurant and maybe one of the reasons is that it is close to me. But be that said the food is good and portion size is really large. They have a great consistency about what you order which is better than when a place does hit or miss on quality on the same item.
