Great Chinese food! – We ordered the chicken with broccoli, roast pork with veggies, wonton soup, and pork fried rice. Everything tasted great. The pieces of chicken were a good size, I hate when they're shredded too small, and the fried rice was great too. The rice was still moist which is something that many places don't seem to get right. Even though there was5 of us we still had left overs, if that's any indication of portion size. This was a great place to get Chinese food from.
Ya' Know, Its ok..... – This restaurant is like the McDonald's of Chinese food. I cant say i have ever had a bad meal there but nothing memorable either. If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant for someone that doesn't really like Chinese food this is definitely the place. Its hard to warrant going to a place like this for dinner however for a quick lunch with co-workers, this is your best bet. Be wary of credit card theft at this location – We ordered carry out - my wife picked it up and paid with a card she had not used for 2-3 weeks prior. We received a call the next am from CheapTickets dot com asking if we really did want to pay for a ticket from Shanghei to Sydney for a Yu <Chinese name> Credit card theft at Hunan Coventry. Food is average, theft is unbelieveable
Terrible Chinese Food – I am an American born Chinese and have been eating American Chinese food my entire life. The food at Hunan Coventry was horrible. Your usual Chinese food basics like Cashew Chicken, Chicken and Broccoli, Hot and Sour Soup, and Potstickers were bland and tasteless. For the poor quality and the average amount the prices are exorbitant. Less than mediocre overall.
This was better in the good old daze! – I have worked at several Asian restaurants. Hunan at Coventry is not a bad place. However, since working at Asian restaurants I can say the food is Americanized. The sauces are very similar in many dishes. I have specifically tasted A1 in several dishes and when I asked the server they were surprised that I had asked this. On several occasions the dishes were practically bathed in oil. Come here if you want below average, unimpressive americanized Chinese food. – I can't believe this place is highly rated for chinese food in Cleveland. Very average and unauthentic chinese food. Trust me. I've had chinese food from most major cities. Maybe this is considered good by Cleveland standards. But overall, this stuff is very substandard. It's very Americanized Chinese food. Tantalize Your Tastebuds – Looking for the best Chinese food in Town? Look no further! You'll be pleasantly welcomed and treated to the freshest vegetables and most tender meat your tongue has tasted. If you don't have time to enjoy the open, comfortable atmosphere, don't dispair. You can get this great food to go, but even then you get quality. Individually wrapped plastic wear, nice napkins, even the condiments are the same thing you get if dining in.
This is the BEST! – The previous couple of reviews are not in any way typical of my many experiences at Hunan Coventry - don't let them keep you from experiencing this fantastic restaurant, which sets the standard for all other restaurants as to quality, consistency and value! Average All Around – There is better Chinese food in Cleveland. If you want fair pricing for "Americanized" Chinese food- you will find this place good. However, if you are looking for authentic food-don't go here. I have eaten here many times-I don't expect much. The food is average-same menu as most resturants.
