Good food, bad location The restaurant is located on Rucker Blvd, which is less-than-perfect, but it's been there forever. The building is old and looks run-down and I think they have the same decorations now that they did 20 years ago. I'd complain more if the food wasn't good, but it is, and it's family-owned and operated and has great service.
GREAT FOOD, GREAT LOOKS In response to the previous poster, hunan's has recently undergone a big change. The parking lot has been repaved, the inside has been remodeled, carpet pulled up and tiled added in the 'dining area.' LOOKS GREAT!! they really went through a big change :)
Best Taste Around!! and... THEY DELIVER!!! New to the area, and practically being addicted to chinese food, I was on the hunt for the best chinese place around. Hunan i think was the last place I tried, and the place that I'll stick with. Instead of a gerneric chinese sauce, each dish tastes unique.They have the best General Tso's. Fantastic – I worked there for 6 months. I didn't have to but the food kept me coming back. Taste with your eyes closed.
The greatest food ever – I am from NYC and miss great chinese food I have pcsed and have been away from what I call great food for years but this resturant is GREAT I had the chicken and shrimp soup and also the shirmp lo mein it was seasoned very well great portions and the delivery woman was very very nice and when I called I spoke with the owner and she suggessted foods for me to try seeing how I am pregnant and was nervous about eating here but the food came in about 15min it was steaming hot great great food great servi... read more

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY!!!! – I ordered chinese food and waited an hour and 45 minutes! I am right on the street with the largest numbers possible. When I called to find out where my food was the woman answering the phone acted as if it was my fault and was very rude to me. I had to call back again where I stated I hope you don't expect me to pay for the entire thing and then she went on a tangent about how she could not give food for free becuase she would lose money! Yes, my dad and i remodeled the whole place – It has the best food around, and is the most authentic food you can get because the cook fixes the same dishes his mother fixed for him in China. Its not on the menu, but ask for salt and pepper shrimp or chicken. We are close friends to the owners and remodeled their floors and bathroom
