I did the happy hour omakase, and it was worth every penny. Ji the chef and owner not only served me the best sushi I ever had, he made me feel like family. The teacher from Virginia says hi Ji!
For the price I expected a perfect nigiri tasting. Instead all the fish tasted like soy sauce. Overly salty/cured. By the end of my 18 pieces I was exhausted from eating it. I would not recommend it. The rice was well done and I could tell the fish is of higher quality but it’s just too bad the flavor was smothered. Our dinner was $250 for two people and I walked out feeling unsatisfied. Oh well, I guess you never know until you try.
This spot is absolutely amazing. I had the omakase and every single dish was so fresh and melt in your mouth delicious that I was floored!!! I can’t eat selfish, and they happily adjusted the omakase to accommodate me which was so wonderfully kind of them! The server was so sweet and explained each dish as well as the order in which they’re best eaten. Each sauce with them was also mindblowingly good!! Between the excellent service of the server, the chef, AND the kindness of the owner, I’ll definitely be a regular here!!!
