I cannot say enough about th whole team at Hummingbird in Woodridge. My son receives OT & ST and has attended their summer academy. He has made tremendous progress and continues to improve. My daughter also receives ST/feeding therapy. The amount of support the therapists and whole team give our family is amazing. They are prompt with returning calls and emails and answering any questions we may have. I am so grateful for this clinic!
My 9 year old son had wonderful experience with Karlie. He absolutely loves animals. His therapy during summer was held at an outdoor facility that had all sorts of farm animals. It helped put my son at easy and built trust and comfort between him and Karlie. Laura and the director, Kaitlyn were also super supportive during my son’s time there. We are so grateful we found Hummingbird Pediatric Therapy, especially Ms. Megan. Our son has been to three other speech clinics with no progress at all, but since starting here, everything has changed. Ms. Megan is kind, patient, and just gets him. He’s already saying more words, and for the first time ever, he spoke a full sentence: “Dada, I go too peas.” It was the sweetest moment. He’s now trying so hard and has the confidence to speak, and that’s all thanks to the amazing care he’s getting here. We couldn’t be happier.
I was a bit overwhelmed when my son’s preschool notified me that he could qualify for an IEP due to his speech articulation. We decided to supplement the help he’s getting in school and looked into a few places before deciding on Hummingbird. My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the decision to send our daughters to Hummingbird. They have been such a blessing in our lives. From the staff up front to the therapists, we couldn’t feel more at home. They are always on top of scheduling if changes have to be made and accommodate our needs if necessary.
