We really love Hummingbird! Amy has been absolutely amazing with my son. From the very beginning in feeding therapy, she made him feel safe and supported and connected with him right away. Thanks to her patience and dedication, he now eats a wide variety of foods with confidence. We’ve since transitioned into speech therapy, and she continues to be just as wonderful. We have been at Hummingbird for about a year and half for our 4 year old son. Hummingbird has been an incredible experience for us. Our son received speech and OT, and we were also apart of the Academy program during the summer and school year. I cannot rave about everyone there and their programs. Not only is it a clean, safe, engaging, and beautiful facility, the people there are truly amazing. We love Hummingbird!! I’ll never be able to articulate what Sara (PT) means to my son and our family. Luke has been seeing Sara for 2.5 years. When they met, he wasn’t sitting or crawling (2 years old) after a surgery set him back. He has a rare disease resulting in hypotonia and a profound visual impairment. Sara jumped into helping Luke with both feet and open arms. She took a scared little boy and made him believe in himself. He loves therapy and is now taking steps with a walker. Have had an amazing experience! Our daughter has had issues with eating since birth. We worked with another SLP group and were discouraged with her progress, but have regained hope. These things don't change overnight, but we feel blessed with the progress that we have made since coming to Hummingbird.
My daughter wakes up on the weekend and asks if she can go to Hummingbird! She has so much fun playing in their amazing facilities. She is a gestalt language processor, and receives OT and Speech. My son has also been there for PT. Every therapist they've had they've loved. My son hugs Sarah, and my daughter is always telling me it's time to go play with Melissa, Amy and Kaylee.
