We booked Happy Bears Cabin 9/14-19/2026. When we arrived the grounds were horrible. There was a big dog barking like crazy right next to the property. Grass & weeds were so tall we didn't want to walk in the yard. The stone stairs going down to the back were all crumbling and dangerous. The front porch was filthy. There was debris scattered, brooms leaning against the wall, cat poop in the weedy planter, cobwebs everywhere. Then when we entered the cabin...yikes. Our planned 95th birthday celebration for my mom was to be at the Little Bear Lodge. We would be a party of 12 - 8 adults and 4 children between the ages of 4-12. We chose this home because it was the one we found that would provide a bed for everyone comfortably, mates could sleep with mates, children that needed to could sleep in parents room.
