I was in the emergency room while being treated for bladder cancer and on immunotherapy and the ER doctor called three seperate times to talk with Dr. Hernandez. He never returned the calls. I was admitted into another hospital, and the doctor covering me called a total of 8 times in four days and he never returned the calls. The PA, pulmonologists and infectious disease doctors also tried reaching him and he never returned their calls. I am very happy with Dr Martinez-Suarez. I felt that his care was not only genuine, but also his manner gave me confidence in facing my surgery. Excellent nurses and staff in this busy office.
I was running late to an appointment (10-15min) and called ahead to let them know. The receptionist checked with the doctor to make sure it was okay which I was told it was. When I arrived (within the specified time) the receptionist told me basically he changed his mind and that he is too busy. I understand doctors need to keep a schedule but don’t tell a patient that it’s okay if it’s not, I would have (reluctantly in fairness) accepted that I needed to reschedule if that’s what I was told when I first called.
