We did not wait to get inside, however, the information desk did have a brief line to talk to a park Ranger. Less than 10 minute wait or so when we got to the front of the line, I explained what I was trying to do in the park, Ranger was very understanding and had Several points of recommendation for us as far as parking lots within the park being exceptionally full once the day is under full swing. Below average visitor centers and we’ve been to a lot of National Parks and their visitor centers. Tiny gift shop, and no film to learn about the area, the parks creation etc. We love watching the informational films…would be nice for NPS to set aside space for a small theater to show a simple film introducing the park that plays every 20-30 min. Park Rangers (as always) were awesome, knowledgeable, and helpful about navigating the park and trails! Plenty of parking.
Make sure to ask a ranger about your dog becoming a Bark Ranger! Our dog is named Acadia so we of course had to make sure she was an Acadia Bark Ranger. :)
