Dr. Hukka is the very BEST of the BEST !! My mother was an RN and abundantly clear that she NEVER wanted to be on a ventilator!! She had come close to having "NO VENT" tattooed on her chest, well aware that ER's were for saving lives, at any cost. Sure enough that was what happened. Unconscious struggling to breath, before any family could get to her, she was in fact placed on a vent. My experience with Dr.Hukku as a patient of 21 years expecting loyalty from this office..My last visit April 23, and I was treated with very little respect from the technician of my breathing test to the Doctor. I was speaking with them about a simple complementary mask that they offer and they disagreed with me turned me down and I felt very disrespected as a patient who has been there for 21 years. Dr. Hukku is not someone you want to work with. His unfamiliarity with some of the latest methods of treatment is appalling. I informed him of a treatment he had to write down for research. My current lung specialist has set me on a track of recovery that includes methods of treatment that I never heard uttered once in Hukku's presence (all of them viable and known in the pulmonary community). Also his bedside manner is non existent.
