My son is now 16. But he was a sick baby. Dr Escobar was wonderful in supporting me and making sure my baby was ok. When ENT, Neurosurgery, GI failed us we could always count on Dr Escobar to make it right! Is been 12 years since we've seen him, I think of him often and am thankful for him every day!!!! My son is now a junior in high school and loves football!!! 🥹 Thank you for being such a compassionate, personable Doctor!!!🫶
Dr Escobar was wonderful to my children, who have a neurodegenerative disease. He is the first pulmonologist to treat me like I have a brain. He reviewed their test results with me, explaining them in detail. When I had a question he didn’t just brush it aside or offer a quick answer, he went to the chart, pulled up X-ray’s and explained the details of her pulmonary function to me. For the first time, I left feeling encouraged rather than discouraged. I am so happy we have him.
We love Dr. Escobar! He’s been so helpful and consistent as we’ve journeyed through the past 4.5 years with our daughter who has cchs! He’s helped us through her tracheostomy, NICU stay, and ever since with ventilator adjustments. He’s wonderful!
Thank God I listened to myself as a mother and nurse and received 2nd opinions outside of Children’s Mercy. The Mayo Clinic has saved my child. Dr Escobar not only misdiagnosed my child with tracheomalacia, but also had no bedside manner whatsoever. The ENT clinic at mercy is right there with Dr Escobar. The worst.
