Absolutely love their chocolates. Hadn't had them in many years and my husband order some for me as a gift. They shipped to us in Texas and the chocolates were as good as I remembered. So many choices, there's sure to be something for everyone.
I've had a LOT of chocolate in my life. Like, an obscene amount. Including in other countries. This is, hands-down, no-questions-asked, THE BEST I have ever had. My dad introduced it to us as kids and we've been making the 1.5-hour drive ever since. The busy workers are always super friendly. If you're from out of town, trust me... get at least twice the amount you think you'll want. And remember, they close from around Mother's Day to mid-September, so stock up!
Best homemade chocolate shop around! I go every spring! I grew up with this candy in my Easter basket and I've been spoiled since! I've tried other chocolate shops and always come back to Hughes!!
I've been coming here since I was a little girl. Hands down the BEST chocolates I have ever eaten!! My favorite is the pudding eggs at Easter!!
Turtles and toffee are outstanding but what I really, REALLY crave are the chocolate covered marshmallow AND caramel eggs. Expensive to ship to San Diego but when we can get a box or two - its like gold.

Haven't been there for a while. Would like to get some Chocolate. Bunnies, dark choc. Covered caramels and toffee. Do bunnies still have jelly beans in them?!?
I have grown up on this candy and been to the shop many times. Even being diabetic this is still my favorite chocolate and jelly beans ever! Highly recommend going in person as it is a great experience!
