We contracted for a new house. The completed house is very nice. Some of the carpentry is exceptional particularly the cabinets. Building a house is never easy but the contractor is skilled and experienced enough to work through issues. At the final inspection we passed without any major problems. We are very pleased and enjoying the house. I would use this contractor again.
Hughes Construction, Shane, built my house after I lost my home in the Carr Fire. There were some glitches and time delays but everyone was rebuilding and it was hard to get supplies sometimes. I am really happy with my home. What I respect most about Shane, personally is that he keeps his word. It looked like my insurance company wasn't going to pay him fully but he honored our agreement to accept the insurance payout even thought he was going to lose some money. Shane helped us rebuild our family home after a devastating loss due to the Carr fire in Redding. He took care of all communications with the city in regards to permits, and our insurance as well. He was professional and diligent in his role as the general contractor and finished the job within budget and on time. I would recommend him to anyone needing work done by a general contractor in the greater Redding area!
