The entire team at Hug has been incredible. The office staff was very helpful (above abd beyond) throughout the process of making selections and answering financial questions. The work crews from demolition to finish work were skilled, professional and polite and always left the work site cleaned up at the end of the day. Great experience overall. The quote, design, and build team were easy to work with. Good communications really helped us out in getting the build completed quicker than the initial plan. Our detached ADU build, overall, went pretty smoothly, and quickly. We loved working with HUG and would do so again.
It's tough to pick a rating for Hug. On one hand, it was definitely not the experience we wanted for our remodel, but on the other, compared to what I have heard from other people with other contractor experiences, it really was better than average. Hug was willing to work with me within my budget to make my project happen. Everyone I worked with from Hug was responsive and understanding to our needs. We ultimately finished the project ourselves (painting, trim, etc) to stay within our budget. But none of it could have happened without Hug doing the major build. We are totally enjoying our expanded Bedroom, kitchen, master bath and reworked stairs to the basement.
