Dr. Huffman and his nurse practitioner are both inconsiderate of their patients concerns and needs. Not once do they follow up with you regarding your health issues. When asking for referrals they will submit it on your behalf but will not fill out necessary paperwork which in return causes more issues. They allow the front staff to play the middle man approach because they do not feel the need to address anything. I have been a patient of Dr. Huffman for 2 years. You think you are getting good service because he seems to care, but don't hold your breath if you need anything in between appointments. I have been trying to get testing done for a condition that has to be done at UVA. All they require is a doctor's phone call. I talked about this with Dr. Huffman at my Oct 2023 appt, but was told they couldn't figure out how to submit the referral and to call UVA myself. We never even got to see the doctor. We decided to leave after waiting 1 1/2 hours. We were told the wait wouldn’t be long but I’m not sure what they meant by that as we’d already waited as long as we did. It’s apparent our time is not valued at all by this doctor’s office. I was told that the wait is long because the doctor sees patients even if they show up late. That only succeeds in punishing those who are on time. This doctors office is definitely one we’ll never go to again.

I would recommend you stay away from this office. How does an office allow patients to wait to see the dr over 2 1/2hrs in the waiting room and act as if it's ok? Why did I make an appt if I have to wait all day? I understand maybe a 20min wait if the doctor gets backed up but over 2 hours? REALLY! Who is running that office? Why didn't someone take charge and apologize for the delay ? Re- schedule the appt? At least let the patient know what to expect. We are sick, have some respect RUDE

Doctor Huffman does not pay careful attention to serious warning signs. He treats patients and their family members in a demeaning manner when medical concerns are addressed. Doctor Huffman does not follow up with patients and refuses to make necessary referrals to specialist. Approximately, 5 months of treatment where lost do to his lack of responsiveness. I would not recommend Doctor Huffman to anyone.

Had a great experience as a new patient with Dr. Huffman the office was clean and the staff was friendly the only negative thing I can say is the wait was long but the interaction with him once he saw me was great I felt the care and concern in his face and voice I'm pleased to be a new patient with him

Staff is unfriendly, takes forever to return phone calls, Dr Huffman takes too nonchalant an attitude in regards to his patients with serious illness, such as CP, and suggests that they find other PCPs because their needs are 'just to complex, translation, he is lazy and doesn't want to be bothered.
