I want to be clear that this review is not about the quality of medical care. The veterinarian and staff were kind, and my senior dog received appropriate treatment for an urgent issue. My frustration is with how payment was handled at checkout. While the costs of services were explained beforehand, there was no conversation at the front desk about payment options at all. The veterinarians at this location are extremely condescending and plain rude. Instead of working out a solution they talk down to you. I absolutely adore my cats and would never do anything to hurt them, but one vet in this facility insinuated that I care more about my schedule than taking care of my pets. I got the impression that he hates his job and people in general. Don't bother with this facility. Nobody wants a vet that treats you with hostility any chance they get.
I brought my daughter’s cat in for GI problems after my regular vet did not have availability until Dec. The staff was so friendly and caring. Dr Hoffman was great - very thorough. The tech was great with the cat and with the other dogs that came into the waiting room. Pricing was high but vet prices are high nowadays! I definitely recommend the facility!
On Friday November 21st 2025, I called Hueneme pet clinic to make an appointment to get my dog's nails cut. He has a long history here of getting his nails cut as well as my other Boston terrier. I was told that they were under New Management and that i must subject him to have an examination before they would cut my dog's nails. This dog is well and healthy and just needs his nails cut. Read that again. They want to examine my healthy dog. This is extortion.
I’ve had my dog for 13 years and 8 months and this week he lost his mobility and was too weak to get up. I had stopped in to this office and asked some questions and from the first minute, Michelle made me feel so much better. On Wednesday the doc came to my house to care for my Buster till the end. I can’t say enough good things about this place and these people. They are the best humans I ever met.
