The place smells great from the parking lot. Didn't try the buffet. Went with BBQ chicken. It was just okay. Hard to eat with a plastic fork and knife. My fork didn't quite make it. Hush puppies were bland, very dense, and needed salt. Mac and cheese was broken and not great, kind of greasy. You can tell the corn bread stuck to the pan because it only had a top. All of the buffet was delicious. I critique BBQ regularly especially buffet BBQ. The veggies were spot on especially the cream corn I even bought some of it to take home. Pulled pork was moist and delicious. A touch of vinegar but not to much. I did taste their BBQ sauce. It wasn't awful but I didn't like it. Sort of looked like it had Heinz 57 in it. Hudson's BBQ catered both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding reception and they were OUTSTANDING in every way. The food was absolutely incredible; flavorful, perfectly prepared, and a huge hit with our guests. For our wedding dinner, Patti helped us come up with having breakfast for dinner (chicken and waffles, biscuit bar, and a grits bar). Beyond the food, the staff was kind, professional, extremely organized, and arriving well ahead of schedule. Keeping everything running smoothly and stress free.
