*3/5 stars — Great staff, fair price, needs some TLC* Stayed here for 2 nights and the staff really made the difference. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and quick to answer questions. Check-in was smooth and they gave solid local recommendations. The hotel itself is showing its age. Nothing major, but there are minor repairs that need attention: some chipped paint, a dripping faucet in the bathroom, and the carpet in the hallway could use a deep clean. We spent three nights at the Hudson Valley Resort and were very pleased. Our room was clean and spacious. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The walk-in closet was huge and had a chair and lighting. There is a new children's playground. I reduced it to four stars because the hotel was built in 1968 and although clean, many of the carpets and other decorations had faded and parts of the hotel were no longer in use. Please do not come here for any reason. If you want to have the experience of being in a place where the owners and staff have simply given up and do not care about the hotel or the guests, this is the place for you. Much of the food is revolting and the potatoesa at breakfast were literally rancid. Table service one dinner took two and a half hours .
