If you have never kayaked before - this is likely not the tour for you. Please take the beginner class. This was a great tour and a fun experience. They offered both single and double kayaks. There were 3 of us in singles and Gavin and Steve were fantastic guides. Steve handled a nervous beginner very well and ultimately that person seemed to enjoy it.
