It’s a bit out of the way on a gravel road but well worth the drive if you’re interested in more unusual parts of history. We were greeted and given an excellent presentation and tour (unfortunately didn’t get the girl’s name but she was great), followed by the chance to shoot some arrows with an atlatl at a bison target outside. Half price entry if you have the National Parks annual pass, so only cost $5 each (less for kids) which is great value for a full guided tour.
So cool and fun
Had a wonderful tour guide. The mystery of what really happened and the different theories was interesting. It makes you wonder what else is under the ground that hasn’t been found.
Beautiful area. Very informative!
We were not sure if this place was open as one website said it was and another said it wasn't. We were close by as we had just hiked Toadstool so we decided to give it a try. So glad we did! We were given the best tour by super knowledgeable park staff. After the tour the park ranger showed us how to throw an arrow at a buffalo (fake buffalo), he was very patient in teaching the kids and the adults. If you are in the area this is a must see!
