my girlfriend was treated rudely and disrespectfully by one of the techs, Justin. he called her a man, and when she told him her name and that she is a woman, he refused to apologize or even acknowledge that he made a mistake. the other workers were polite and friendly, but this experience left us feeling frustrated and unwelcome.
Exam was excellent doctor very caring. I didn’t like that I was told they take my insurance then received a bill for $500+ my insurance didn’t cover any part of it. Then I get a phone call to ignore that bill that they were going to send to another party? A few weeks later I get the bill again for whole amount. One star, because zero isn’t an option. I’ve been taking my son to this office for the past three years, but after this experience, we’ll be looking for a new ophthalmologist. I scheduled an annual eye exam for my 9-year-old with Dr. Rai, his usual ophthalmologist, and it wasn’t until less than 24 hours before the appointment that I received a message saying the doctor was no longer in-network. Preimum up 60% in one year. I had a rental scan done a year ago it cost around $500 and my insurance billed me $50 Coinsurance and $10 deductible. I had the same exam done with the same insurance. The bill is now $810 and my insurance is trying to bill me $168 as a deductible alone.
Watch for hidden billing. Each of the two visits I've been there, they've charged me additional money after I left, that wasn't explained. The first one was a $30 dollar charge that wound up on my credit report before I even knew I owed it.
