Specialties Since 1954 we have been perfecting our craft of only cooking the top one percent of Virginia peanuts. We specialize in corporate gifts, healthy snacking, and only serving you the best peanuts on the market. History Established in 1954. Dot and HJ Hubbard were the founders of Hubs, but also the Virginia peanut category. Dot would hand pick the largest peanuts out of her father's farm, cook them in a unique recipe and give them to friends as gifts during the holidays. Her husband, HJ, knew they had something special and started selling them to local drug stores and hardware stores. Before long, everyone wanted Dot's super extra large peanuts.

Like no other peanuts you've ever tasted. If you are looking for Virginia peanuts, the finest in the world are grown locally and produced by Hubbard Peanut Co., Inc. in the tiny village of Sedley, Virginia. Back in 1954, dry roasting was the most common method of cooking peanuts, but Dot Hubbard took the recipe she had grown up with on her father’s peanut farm in Southampton County and perfected it. She pioneered the first commercial process for water-blanching and oil roasting the biggest and best peanuts of Virginia's harvest. Known as Hubs “home cooked” peanuts, Dot’s family is still cooking Virginia peanuts in the exact same location where she raised her children. Today, Virginia peanuts are prepared in a similar way by many, but there is still no match to the consistent quality of Hubs “home cooked” peanuts. Watch the video "From Seed to Snack" to learn more about how Hubs were born in Dot's kitchen.

I gave your chocolate covered peanuts as a Christmas present. I just found out that our recipient has not eaten any of your peanuts, fearing sickness. Is this a legitimate reason? We have always considered your products "tops" in quality; and have enjoyed eating your peanuts for quite sometime. I would like to hear from you in order that I might relay your response to our recipient promptly.
