Dot and HJ Hubbard were the founders of Hubs, but also the Virginia peanut category. Dot would hand pick the largest peanuts out of her father's farm, cook them in a unique recipe and give them to friends as gifts during the holidays. Her husband, HJ, knew they had something special and started selling them to local drug stores and hardware stores. Before long, everyone wanted Dot's super extra large peanuts.
