Headlined a comedy show here, cool model trains, great back patio, owners were awesome, highly recommend
Had a great visit with Tom and Cindy at Hub City. Tom’s the resident rail buff, beer maker and grill master. Loved talking railroad history and history of railroad model trains with him. Cindy tends bar, takes and delivers orders and keeps the place running on time. (I’d call her the Station Master.) Food 4 stars. Beer 4 Stars. Atmosphere and Ambiance: Priceless. Just what I needed after a long day of travel. People love to talk about the things they love and that always feeds the soul.
The best beer I’ve ever had
We stayed here via Harvest Host and had read that the trains weren’t loud……it was loud. The hosts were super nice and clearly have persevered to continue their operation. It was like visiting a friends house in terms of the vibe, as the hosts were friendly, the rooms were homey and they had games etc. Those are the positives….in our opinion, the food was pretty good, we had the fried fish and my husband had the bbq sandwich. It was a welcome stop on our way further south and we were thankful for the hospitality:)
Couple house beers available and some guest taps available. Would frequent if hours were a bit more open. Especially on the weekends
