My mom and I came here for a 90-minute deep tissue massage, and while the massage itself was excellent, the checkout experience completely ruined it. Our bill was $200 for the standard service + $20 for deep tissue [total cost for both of us], which is fine. However, when my mom went to tip, she wanted to leave 20% — but they refused and forced her to leave a 30% tip instead. Massage was great, but the front desk pushed us to give a 30% tip and when i refused she strated attacking me with older receipts and forcing us to leave more tip. I wanted to give 20% tip and she got aggressive. Even switched our payment method so she could add tax to the total bill. Never going back after the traumatic experience.
I’ve been coming here for years and always look forward to my monthly massage. Every therapist I’ve seen is great—super strong pressure, very clean environment, and the prices are really reasonable for the quality. That said, I’m leaving 2 stars because I’ve consistently felt uncomfortable about the tipping situation. Over the last few visits, I’ve been told—directly—that I had to leave a 30% tip, even when I was already planning to leave 20%, which is a standard and generous amount.
