We had an exceptional stay at Hotel Gault. Perfectly located in the Old City. The rooms are well appointed and maintained and the property is quiet. Proper Petit Dejeuner in the morning. Nice Lobby with areas to work if you are on business or read without interruption. The Hotel Gault Associates are delightful and make your trip special.

First stay at Hotel Gault, which came recommended. Absolutely a perfect stay! Great location in Old Montreal: close to fun waterfront activities without being in the heart of tourist area and very convenient to public transport and bike paths. Staff were attentive and very helpful. Room was so stylish and comfortable, and we upgraded for the 5th floor balcony and used it every morning for enjoying espresso and in the evening for wine. I would avoid staying at this hotel. Our Deluxe King Suite on the first floor had a broken thermostat, set at 75 degrees fahrenheit and would not get cooler. The hallway on our floor had a working A/C system, just not our room. The problem was brought to the front desk staff, who could only offer us an electric fan. When a new room was requested, the response was there were no other rooms available and that even if we switched rooms, that likely the problem would remain! We've staying at Hotel Gault before and it in keeping with our past experience, it did not disappoint for this trip. The staff is absolutely fantastic, helpful, kind and welcoming. The location is superb, being in the old town and close to a Metro stop. Our room and service were exceptional. Nothing but great things to say -- btw: we bought the breakfast package and everything we had was exceptional.
