My mom loved the HSHS Hospice nurses and Home Health aides that helped Mom . Mom was so grateful for all the kindness/tenderness and professionalism shown to her. The nurse practitioners, nurses, and home health aides were all so eager to help me to help Mom as I was my mom's primary caregiver alongside my daddy.. The wrong type hospital bed was delivered, it was assembled incorrectly and was placed in the wrong room. It was dirty with a torn mattress cover and the tray had dirty rings from glasses. I left the hospital an hour early to make sure everything had been taken care of as the HSHS rep had promised and it was a nightmare. We had several different nurses who were nice but the care was perfunctory. I think they operated on the assumption that it was OK for Mom to be neglected by staff at her nursing facility. Unprofessional and disrespectful to the families of those on Hospice. Should be ashamed to be representing the nursing profession
