I have an issue with my debit card, and when I searched for opened HSBC branch on Saturday on website, I found that this branch is open on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. So, I travelled from Hamilton to Oakville. After travelling all that distance, the branch was close despite posting a sign on this bank branch showing that the branch is open on Saturday ( totally inconsiderate client’s time and effort)
I’ve had a great experience at HSBC, both for my mortgage and checking account, I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews. But it’s way better than RBC. I wish they were never required.
I read that there are so many 1-star review, so was a bit worried about my visiting. But it turned out pretty smooth today. I had some mortgage related assistence, and was able to complete just 5 mins after I entered the door. The associate is also friendly and professional for my case. Not sure if it is because HSBC is owned by RBC now, so the service quality improved. But would like to give a 5-star data point.
