A calm, pretty location to do some relaxing kayaking. Keep a look out for turtles and wetlands birds. Cars run along a road on the north side, so the south side of the lake is pleasanter. Attendants were helpful and friendly. There's a locker for items and parking across from the old pump station.
My lady friend and I, (both senior citizens) rented a tandem kayak at the Tarrytown location on Saturday. High praise to the two staff members, (Adia and Henryk) who assisted us. This was only our second time kayaking together. They were very courteous and extremely helpful in assisting us getting in and out of the kayak. We had great weather and had a wonderful time paddling around the lake. We look forward to next season when I'm sure we will kayak there numerous times.
