We had issues with another place we had gone to for years. They had filed something wrong and didn't tell us so we decided to come here. Service was good. Guy explained somethings that the other place couldn't figure out or give us an answer. Other than that I don't see how having 3 W2s and 2 dependants would cost us 395 dollars when the most we have ever paid was 170 and that was last year. It was a simple return and we claim standard. Proactively set an appointment online far in advance of filing deadline. Several days later (and still more than a week to my appointment) an associate left me a very rude message telling me nobody was available for my appointment time. As if I made a mistake in choosing the time. Instead of offering alternatives, they told me I’d have to call because “they don’t even know what kind of taxes I have.” I will file online again and just pay for the consult with a human through Turbo Tax.
