Called to make an appointment and did so without issue. We weren't asked any questions about our tax situation. We arrived to the office for our appointment and once I mentioned I was a small business owner and we had rental property, we were told the person we were scheduled with wasn't qualified to do our taxes because of the small business.
Turned a family away for no reason other than the clothes on their backs. A mother came in with her two young daughters to file taxes and instead left humiliated & discouraged. They were told by an associate that they “didn’t do taxes for people who looked like them”. A woman with her two babies!!! I can’t imagine how those girls felt but I do know they will carry that with them for years. Completely unprofessional and out of touch. No one should be treated like that.
Extremely Disappointing Experience - Discriminatory Behavior at H&R Block I am absolutely appalled by the behavior I witnessed at the H&R Block location. A customer, who was homeless, came in seeking tax assistance and was treated with such blatant disrespect and discrimination. The staff, in front of the customer's children, made cruel judgments based on their appearance, telling them to leave and refusing service outright.
