I went in to receive assistance filing my taxes. At the conclusion of my appointment I was charged $368.00 for the tax preparer's services. Never was I made aware that filing my two W2s and two 1098's would result in a charge this steep. The website indicates rates start at $99 which I feel is deeply deceiving considering I paid almost 4x this amount. Additionally, my tax preparer was not transparent about how expensive her services would be until she had already filed my taxes and I then had no choice but to pay. When I cal... read more
