I moved to Parkdale 3 years ago and decided to do my income tax at this location and if you aren't already aware by the other reviews, let me remind you, this place is very sketchy and the customer service is absolutely terrible. I recently moved to the neighborhood and simply did a google search. Little did I know it will be my first bad experience with hrblock. Firstly, it took forever before my taxes were looked at. I called up to 3 times before someone named Dawn eventually got to work. After that, I waited the usual 8-10 days for the refund in my direct deposit and got nothing. This is an incredibly sketchy location and I would not recommend filing with anybody employed in this office. I came in to have my taxes filed and chose h&r block due to the instant refund & pay with refund options that are advertised online and even on the actual locations’ building as well. To start with the fact this place smells like death will set the tone for the kind of experience you are in for. I don't know if some unfortunate animal died in the walls, or if it is even coming from a different part of the building or next door, but to have a tax office smell like that is just jarring. However, that can be understandable depending on the circumstances.
