Sunday April 13th. I had an appointment for 09:00 to prepare my 2024 taxes with tax EXPERT Jia Wong. H&R does not open until 12:00 on Sunday. At 09:03 a lady entered the premises and pointed at the sign on the front door that says they open at noon on Sunday. She said that the tax EXPERT would not be in until 10:00 or 10:30. I made sure I was on time for the appointment and they didn't show up. Typical crappy American company.
I had decent experiences in 2023 & 2024 but this year was a 1 star experience. The woman filing my taxes was 45 minutes late starting my appointment. When the man working the front desk tried to advocate for me after 40 minutes, she raised her voice at him and said what am I supposed to do. The appointment before me, they allowed someone with 4 years of returns to file all years even though it couldn’t be done in his allotted time. **Updated** three years ago I had a pleasant experience with HR block but not anymore. We went with the drop off service and our file wasn’t even looked at for a week! Had to constantly follow up ourselves and in the end decided to take our business elsewhere. ——-——————————————— Filed my taxes for the first time as a new comer here. The staff was friendly and supportive of my questions. The filing of the taxes was fast and within 2 days!
Rude staff who couldn't even let me use the washroom. Was sent to Tim Hortons by an old lady who said I couldn't use it. Quoted almost $200 for filing in a rude and unprofessional manner. That lady clearly does not enjoy her work. I took my business somewhere else! Avoid this place!
