I have spent a year back and forth with both the IRS and H&R Block to try to find out why my tax return is still being held up. I finally discovered this month that H&R Block wrongly included a tax document from the previous year and forgot a required document for that filing year. At this point I am filing an amended return with the IRS myself and trying to get a refund from H&R but they keep introducing new hoops to jump through to make getting a refund as difficult as possible.
