Had an absolutely horrible experience today. Dawn Eagle was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. She was cryptic, rude, and annoyed while speaking with us (both on the phone and in person). It was unclear what she wanted me to sign, and there was no upfront explanation about payment. I did not feel comfortable or confident trusting her with my personal information. I’ve been to the 362 Bloor Street location twice, and both times I’ve left feeling absolutely appalled. The first time I visited was in June when I had asked for help with a complex application. Reception asked me to take a seat, after 30 minutes I hear the reception inform the Tax “Professional” (her name is Dawn) about my case. I hear Dawn reply back “Oh I will avoid that as long as I can… break it to him gently” (I was seated no more than 2 feet from them). Very poor customer service, I was directed to book an appointment for my specific tax situation at this HQ office since my local H&R block didn't have the expertise. I received a call back denying my request for consultation without any explanation or understanding of the situation, even though I was directed by another H&R block office to consult with them. What's worse is that I believe they gave me bad advise regarding my tax situation in a rush.
