I made an appointment with Tax Specialist Shandie Ross at H&R Block this year and am so glad I did! I was able to make the appointment online for the very next morning, super easy. Shandie was friendly, thorough, and answered all my questions. She even took the time to look at my State filing from last year to help me understand my filing status. I will be going back to her for next years taxes!
They took my state funds !!!!. I was told I was going to receive a curtain amout after all deductions and fees, I was also told it was only going to be from the federal. Never received my stat so I decided to call and was told it was deposited on to the horrible emerald card. ...which from the information I received all advances were going to be deducted from my FEDERAL which it was. But the also took my state funds.
Extremely difficult to talk to a person that works there. Made an appointment weeks ago, then was called to reschedule 2 days before the appointment. Very inconvenient. Have not been happy with the service so far. Hope all goes well with everything else!
Fail to disclose any available options or information about my taxes. Didn’t help with any opportunities or concerns for my deductions. She never relayed the cost for her service upfront. Only asked for signature and when I wanted to read she pushed forward without questioning why I wanted to read. Overall this experience was a waste of time. Ten minutes without help and a charge for 225. This was fraud in the case a senior tax expert “help” with my situation that could’ve been done online at home.
