I've been a customer for a number of years using their online Premium service. This year the charge for Federal is $105.00 less $35 for "early season" filing. Within. a couple of hours of filing my return I received an email offering the same service for $28. Seemed to me i was do a refund.. When I contacted HRBlock they said they couldn't offer a refund for the difference since I'd already paid and filed. Certainly seems poor response to me
Short story: please do not do your taxes here, especially anything out of state, dual state, or multi state. Long story: I feel as though it is my civil duty to write this review in the hopes that no one will experience what I had to, Especially with this tax season beginning. My husbands taxes never got processed for 2022 by Gina and the other HR Block lady Lisa gave us a voucher and said to call the IRS to waive the fees and penalties we accumulated. I called the IRS they said that the mess up is on HR Block and they should be responsible for paying the penalties that’s accumulated. I called and the lady I spoke to a lady and she made an appointment for us to go in and to see Lisa since she knew what was going on. They prepared my taxes in 2022 incorrectly. They made a huge mistake and took 4 plus months to fix it. I picked up the amended return today and it has more mistakes than the original filing.
