When we returned to the area I found the closest H&R Block to us, which was Riverdale. I'm not sure exactly how many years I've actually been seeing Linda Merriman, but I can tell you that once I found her, I will never go to anyone else. She is the absolute best! They just don't know about what to do with state taxes and reservist military members coming back from deployment. I was supposedly getting money back and then the state probably wants paperwork that H&R block never asked for and now the state says I owe. So I went back in person and specifically asked since I was overseas does the state need paperwork or were they wrong and I owe. They said they'll look into it. Unfortunately there isn’t a zero star option. If you’re filing anything beyond a 1040ez…. DO NOT COME HERE! My husband and myself are still going back and forth with this branch in reference to our 2022 taxes. They initially allowed an inexperienced rep to prepare our taxes which cost us thousands of dollars. After that we were then passed along to a “tenured” tax specialist who ended up filing incorrect documentation on our behalf.
