ZERO STARS. ZERO!!!!! English was not the first language of the person helping me, so while they may be extremely intelligent - knowing more than one language, becoming a master tax specialist - it was all for naught because I could barely understand one word out of their mouth. She did not answer my questions and submitted documents I didn't want submitted. I was charged $105 to scan and send documents when that wasn't what I wanted. At that point I terminated the appointment.
I made an appointment to have my mother’s estate return done with a Jane Xiao. Upon arrival I was told that she didn’t have the time to complete the return, although the appointment was booked more than a week in advance. Completely blown away that any tax preparation business can treat clients in this way!
OK, I realize people’s expectations may be out of line. I’m reading some of these reviews and just thinking how privileged and. demanding can you be… Here’s my thoughts. They do their job very well and I’ve never had any problems.

I have personally filed with H&R Block for the past 16 years. They have always been exceptional, with knowledgeable tax experts who make you feel welcome and cared for.
