We went in for our scheduled appointment and waited a short time for the tax consultant to be available. We had some unusual circumstances so we had been referred to a tax person with the appropriate experience for our taxes. The lady we worked with was very nice, she went thru our paperwork, asked us the important questions, and then she went over every detail and how it all worked. We left H & R Block a couple of years ago after concerns that our tax preparer lacked necessary knowledge. Plus, I didn’t see the point in paying for questionable work when I can just do them myself after some research and education. I would give zero stars if I could. Due to what I’m told is a known “glitch in the 2022 software,” we owe hundreds of dollars for 2021. I made an appointment to meet with the person who did our taxes. Appointment was made two weeks in advance. Arrived ten minutes before scheduled appointment. Tax representative was overbooked (they have an online scheduling system, this shouldn’t happen). The front desk representative had zero clue what was going on (is this not what she gets paid for, to manage the appointments)?
