Not too shabby – Had a decent time there. It's not my first choice in places to go but I wouldn't oppose to going again. Good environment and staff.
Great mix of people! – I recently went out with a group of friends who wanted to meet at Howl at the Moon... since I had never been I was excited to try something different. The evening started out a bit slow (on a Saturday) but it began to pickup around 10pm. Too slick & rehearsed – We were disappointed in the number of rehearsed songs played during our night at Howl at the Moon. We went to this dueling piano bar expecting to hear songs played at the request of those in the audience - primarily played on the piano instead of with a full band. We could have gone to any bar to see a band play rehearsed songs. That isn't why we went to Howl at the Moon. We encourage the owners to reduce the number of rehearsed songs and increase the number of songs played by request.
DO NOT use a debit/credit card at Howl at the Moon – Two of us used a debit/credit card on a Friday night and found out the next week that the tab amount had been drafted out of our accounts on Monday but a hold on funds was still pending on our account Tuesday. When we called the company to speak with them regarding the hold, the employee stated that this was a constant problem for them and had been for 2 years. Good for older nightlife – Was your typical piano bar...goofy people singing goofy songs. They were good but it's a place to goof off not dance "go out" and it was definitely an older crowd when I went...like 35 and up...
Great Place – Lovely atmosphere, fun great place for entertainment. A bunch of us celebrated my birthday here with some friends. We had a table saved for us, which we had to purchase, but its well worth it b/c by 9p.m the place gets crowded and there isnt anywhere to sit. Looking for a Great Night Out? – I love this place! It is usually very crowded, but the atmosphere is well worth it. Such a great time with a group of friends. You are sure to sing along to your favorite tunes as well as some you wouldn't believe the pianist know on a whim. The drinks are yummy! Well worth a visit if you haven't been to a dueling piano bar before. I will definitely be returning soon!
a good time! – I went to Howl at the Moon a few weeks ago on a Saturday night! It was pretty crowded, but the atmosphere was really fun. There were lots of different types of people there, more than just your young professional crowd. This is definitely a place to check out if you haven't been to a dueling piano bar before, and it's in the Epicentre so there are lots of other bars to check out near by!
